I'm so proud to be working again this season with Joey. This weekends race was not a walk in the park nor a run away from the pack win. Joey had to work very hard this weekend dig deep and battle for the lead. With poor weather on Sunday and up against full supported AMA riders Joey once again showed me how good of a road racer he is.
Tire compounds we ran on Sunday's race was the new Diablo Super Corsa 180/60-SC1 and the SC 2 front.

Congrats Joey on a great weekend buddy!!!!
Yesterday's racing entertainment was well worth the 411-mile road trip from Alameda. The talent list was impressive (Pascarella, Farris, Matter, Solis, Prince, Rapp, DeHaven, Tigert, etc.). Holy crap, the 600 races were clearly “top-shelf” crowd pleasers and incredibly close at the front!
I agree with RRW’s mention re: the final lap battle between Joey and Benny. I almost had a stroke watching them go back and forth (stupid old age).
One of the noteworthy highlights occurred in the C Superbike Expert race. I’m not fully aware of the details, but the end result found Wyatt (who was running 2nd behind Joey) on the ground in the chicane with Austin making every attempt to avoid him, however… Austin found himself and his bike airborne over the top of Wyatt’s bike. This spetacular crash had all of us in the stands holding our breath. Wyatt walked away from it (thank God) and I believe Austin required assistance from the paramedics.
Although I’m a bit biased (we sponsor both Joey and Wyatt) kudos to all the riders who made yesterday a memorable experience, including but not limited to Alonzo, Lancaster, Uribe, and so on…
Check out caliphotography.com (Race 8a, page 6). You'll see several shots of Wyatt's and Austin's "off".
Here's a few garage shots.
