little strange they kept the 17" rear wheel, instead of going to an 18"?

was pleasantly surprised at this rumor:

"The estimated weight of the new 2026 Kawasaki KLE500 ABS is around 397 pounds (180 kg) with a full tank."​

i'll believe it's under 400 lbs with a full tank when I see it.

And if you get one you get to stay with Team Green! I'm also a little wondering why they stick with the 17" rear but that's ok I guess.

yes, this new KLE seems to be pretty much basically the Kawasaki I’ve been waiting for.

I’d been seriously considering the Versys 300X as a twin-cylinder replacement for my pre-gen KLRs, but had been hoping for a bike with a 21” front wheel and a bigger two-cylinder engine.

sounds like I could get a new KLE for under ten grand … we’ll see if they decide to import it to the USA.

And to prove they are really advancing with the times, Kawasaki is now offering a carbon fiber milk crate accessory rack for the new KLR.
