Kawasaki introduces the new Ninja 250R

I can tell you one thing, I bet the folks on 250s at Thill passing 600s and liter bikes in the turns were having a good time.

The good times likely ended for those same folks, on laps when the aforementioned liter bikes in the C-Group subsequently "parked it" in Turns 14/15 (after blowing past the little bikes on power in the back straight). :rofl

Being stuck following the liter bike into those turns; all the hard-earned corner speed on the little 250 just went out the window, never to be seen again entering the adjoining front straight. Oh well, that's the real world of riding a 250 Ninja at trackdays, for better or worse. :ride
 
that and the poor guy next to me who piled his EX250 into T14. Poor guy.
 
Does anyone have a clue of a close-enough date of when these are coming out?

I got off the phone with one of the salespeople from EBM and they told me this: "We got word that the bikes are in the facility and being built."

So I go on to ask them if they would be expecting them this month... and they just say possibly/maybe/don't know :cry

I did a quick search on google and came up with some answers such as MARCH and APRIL releases :wtf

By that time, I'll have enough saved for a busa... I'm just growing more and more impatient with the wait.
 
Jim, are you scared that I got elected? This could be the end of the 250 class!!!!

(I'm kidding!!!!) But I DO think we could make it a REALLY cool class with this new bike....

There are very few things I hate more than a video of some asshole walking in a circle around his bike/car/etc.

On the other hand the laff I got from that asinine tattoo dude has was worth it.
 
I wish that the UK kawi site didn't list fuel injection for their model. I'm gonna wait another year. :mad

"I hope that is your girlfriends bike, no respect."

Yeah, because everyone worries about whether your Escalade leasing, Mom's basement living, WalMart greeting, riding-in-a-straight-line-and-still-crashing ass thinks about a motorcycle.
 
I'm glad they updated the bike, and I hope they update the 500 (really, why the hell wouldn't they?) Everything I've read on it however leads me to believe that it's only for small riders. And yes I know that big riders have them, but small riders also have big bikes, it's just that they are the exception, not the rule. I'm 6'1", and crouching over that bike for long periods would destroy all the excellent work of my chiropractor. :)
