Keep leaving key in motorcycle. Suggestions f

'Curious how you wired it up. Relay? Latching relay? Momentary switches? Two switches in parallel? You aren't running the full current load that the ignition switch sees through the micro switches, are you? Schematic?

Inquiring minds want to know. :teeth

(Leave the details out about where you mounted the switches and exactly what type they are. Just the basic function of your design.)

Don't unlearn the good habit of turning off the bike with the killswitch...

I have a disc lock for each bike. Whenever I park the bike, I put the disc lock on. Quick, and moderately more secure. What this means, though, is that I never forget my keys... because the disc lock key and the moto key are on the same ring. If you had another basic task to perform that required removing the key to perform, you'd never forget them, because they'd be right in your hand when you put the disc lock on.

The only times I have forgotten my keys is when I neglect to use the lock.

i can relate with you exactly as far as the add thing goes. I recomend you trade your bike in ona Buell I used to leave my key in my buell accidently all the time with a glow in the dark key fob no one ever stole it unfortuantly.

Is the same key used to lock the front forks?

I make it a habit of always locking the forks when I park my bikes anywhere but inside my garage, and part to the operation of locking the forks is to take the key out after turning the key to the lock position. It's been many years since I left keys in the ignition of my bike when parked somewhere.

I still forget the key when in my garage about one out of ten times, though. :facepalm

how about one of those long neon colored keychains with a magnet on the end, and stick the magnet ON the tank in your field of view.

Oaklamd... key in the ignition...

Won't be a problem too much longer. Just wait it out.

I used to have this this problem, and the damned ignition was right in the center of the triple tree area! I got a stretchy purple idiot cord, attached one end to the ignition key, and clipped the other end to my tank bag. That way, I never get too Absent-Minded Professor.

EDIT: Yes, that thing right above my post, except in purple. It's also good at preventing douchebag friends from playing the Pull Up Beside You and Grab Your Ignition Key While You're Riding game. Which I read about on BARF, actually.
