Kings Mountain Road and a turbo WRX

speaking of maintenance, do the AWD require significantly more maintenance than your regular manual (or automatic for that matter) transmission?

My sti is one of the few things that even come close to giving me the shitty grin I get when I ride, here's some pics of my 05.

I love our STI. Its my wifes DD. Its not as fast as my RX7's but it is great for giving a bunch friends a ride up a twisty road.

FAIL :party

He just appears to be hauling ass since wrx's understeer like crazy and eat front tires like whoa

An improperly aligned WRX will understeer. Align one properly, and they are darn near neutral.

yeah do the same on an evo and it can get tail happy :party

<--used to have a wrx (sti) as well :teeth

but I agree, either the wrx/sti/evo, makes it easy to drive like a douche

I terrorized the streets of North SJ for 3 years in those beasties :teeth

I have been riding motorcycles for 30 years. It is not getting to be fun anymore. I have to ride all defensive. I just get tired of being cut off all the time. I know that in all the years of riding I have a sence of what that car might do sometimes but not all the time by reading the body language of it. Kinda spooky sometimes. Maybe I just need to get out on the mountain roads again but even that is getting all congested. I ride my bicycle alot and always look before I pass something and if a car or something else is coming I try and wait untill they pass. Acually most of the time the car will slow way down and wait for me. Kinda shocks me sometimes..

Nice cars all.....I should have expected this to turn into a WRX owner's thread. :laughing

jstabeemer - You gotta have patience these days. On a 2 hour ride you'll get about 30 minutes of clear road all to yourself if you are lucky...it IMO it's worth it...and there are always track days... :thumbup

:teeth Caught! :teeth :laughing

I actually agree with your post -- I too love to go for a spirited drive in the car occasionally, used to be pretty regularly before I had a bike. It's too bad he drives like a douche. Unfortunately, the playground must be shared w/all types...

My :2cents

I've driven both the Evo and WRX and I agree 100% that they make you drive like a jackass. If I owned one it would be sitting in my driveway because I'd have NO LICENSE!
