Sugerbowl became my favorite day trip after they revamped the place. Its close, cheap and the skiing is nice
Sorry Bro, my feelings are quite the opposite.
There will always be a special place in my heart for Sugar Bow,l but I don't like all the revamping.
I like the rustic feel of the old. Back then (pre-Judah), it was a place not too many people went to, and lay out some siiiick lines. Cheap, close, an awesome place for day-trips.
Until, they replaced the first ski lift in California, the Disney chair. Disney chair was a double, old, rusty, and slow. It kept that side from getting tracked out too soon. Especially when you got off, unstrap or unclick and hike up that little hill.
Now there is a high speed quad dropping you off right on the top, and they built a hut there. And when I first checked it out, there was a crowd of people up there, and i'm thinking, "Noooooooooooooo"
How sacrilegious.
As for Northstar, I don't frequent the place much, it's a family-oriented resort, but there is a noticeable difference in the amount of hot women there.
As for Kirkwood, i'm talking about total cost, gas, food, etc.
It got ruined because of Snowbomb. Good for Kirkwood, not good for me. Sorry for being selfish, but on a powder day, fuck'em.
This is the first season I won't be having a season pass there. Kirkwood ain't that big.
