I am more than happy to keep a calendar...but we should stick to it. That is why we all got together at Koi's place for teh holiday dinner and sat around and discussed 2012..we put items on a calendar but now..out the window..

I think if we actually put stuff down..they will happen..maybe not always..but again..if we wait for one person or two people to post a ride..they will never happen because you are relying on THEIR personal schedules..

So if you want..I can resurrect the google calendar and invite everyone in and we can put up what we had planned and see if they still work. At minimum post up misfit regular rides and build from there!

Let the threadjacking continue....why not..we're misfits...:twofinger
 
Back to the original topic -- looks like I'm stuck with carting the mom-in-law around Sunday. I'll have some time for riding on Saturday though.

Yes. That would be so great. I think you should keep the calendar but make it separate so that we can incorporate it into our own calendars in the google way. I would really like to see rides out into the future so I can plan and more reliably attend.

On a serious note, what Eric is saying is true. Please address your need to edit titles and lock threads. Thanks for understanding.

So how else would I address my need to edit titles and lock threads beside asking a mod to do so?

I was informed early on when I made a mistake by not putting a date on a thread title, that if there is a mistake, or any issue, to report it so that a friendly mod can change it for me. Same as if I needed a thread closed.

If there is some other way of doing so, please let me know so I don't bother the mods.

My apologies for creating more work on BARF then any other member.
 
Do not put dates in or things that you know will need to be edited later. Pretty simple, really.

While dates are required in the Group Ride Forum, I encourage you to find a way to schedule your rides so that the threads don't need to be edited. Most over rides and threads are able to continue this way.

Also consider that a thread doesn't have to be 'closed' when the event is cancelled. It can just fade to the bottom by not bumping it.

Start by looking backwards Historically what have you requested to have edited? Attempt to address those things first.

You don't need to apologize for anything. We mentioned something to you, you acknowledged our message. We move on. It's just a 'thing', nothing more. Not a big deal.

I felt I should re-post the original dynamics of the ride since we haven't talked about it for pages....



Here's the route this ride is for Sunday 5/20.

I've been having problems with Chrome and BARF's gmap function, so I'll try again later with firefox or IE...

We will be sitting down to breakfast in Napa at the Black Bear Diner, a favorite it seems of the Misfits.

Sitting at 9am, chatting starts around 830am :laughing

KSU will be 10:30 and we will be heading towards the coast through Sonoma, Petaluma, Stopping at the park probably around 1145 like we did last time...

and stopping for a bit at the Drake's Beach Cafe on Pt Reyes around 1pm.

This time please no dropping of any motorcycles in the parking lot :twofinger

Afterwards, I plan on going up the coast and Bohemian Highways to the Russian River and then over to Santa Rosa for dinner at a Thai Restaurant. probably around 4-5ish depending on typical Misfit Chatter.

Come one, come all, come out for the ride, or breakfast, or meet on the route, or at dinner, or whatever!!! Ya'll know the routine.

Route is 145 to Santa Rosa but I figure we will stop in Guerneville for gas if someone needs it or sooner if there's an Aprilia with us :twofinger
