Thank you to ALL OF YOU. My join date for BARF says 2009 but I was reading this forum years before when I bought my first bike. I've never even lived in the bay area. Sacramento was the most adjacent home. This is always one of my favorite places to be on the interwebs. BARF is not just a bay area forum. All the people here are international. One of the best things I love is all the different opinions and optics and perspectives. Not just an echo chamber. People here I consider friends even though we've never met in person. Some I have.

So, today is going to be my actual birthday celebration. The plan was yesterday but my best friend had a late notice work trip. Not a huge deal. I told him I'll still be 40 tomorrow. We're just gonna do what we did a few years ago on my birthday. Sushi for late lunch/dinner and bowling after. I have a lot of friends but I decided I wanted to spend my birthday with Danielle and Jim (and their daughter Alaina). My best friend Emilio is included but he's obligated by best friend contract.

I don't have any friends here. But I don't feel alone. Being alone and lonely are not the same thing.

P.S. The other picture is from a Halloween party. We're weird people but not that weird (at least not all the time)
