Lane sharing thread on reddit

"when lane-sharing, its a safer bet to ride between two cars, in between their side mirrors."

when i read that, i face palmed....

Looks like the general consensus is positive, as all the retardation is buried at the bottom.

There were still just waaay too many ignorant comment. Again not surprising but a chilling reminder there are fuckers that may actually TRY to swerve into my unprotected ass just outta principal.

There is a guy that said he would intentionally swerve to fuck with people that are lane splitting. He couldn't care less if it caused injury or death. Well....redditors are a group you don't want to mess with. They got a hold of his personal information and were calling/emailing death threats. Soon after the guy posted an apology on another account saying that he was clearly *trolling*. I think that punk b*tch got scared when he realized how stupid he was. Good riddance. He might have deleted all those comments by now but there are a few screenshots of it circulating /motorcycles.

In my opinion, it is safer to split between the cars. They don't change lanes into each other. CHP motor told me that, years ago. And in my experience, it works.

Reddit. Can't read it for more than 15 seconds, I get tired of all the stupid shit people say. It's like being on Sportbikes.net.

the thread starter is right on.

while splitting ysterday, I moved over to let some vest wearing ryduh pass me at 30mph+ . that focker aint gonna live too long.

Used to be a dude on a R1 that would split across the Bay Bridge like that in the early 2000's. I was pretty aggressive but this guy was off hit nut. Always figured he was a BARF'er. Believe he worked somewhere off the (old?) Fremont exit from the few times I kept him in sight. Be awesome to know if he's still riding/survived.

Yeah, I don't discuss lanesplitting with people who do not ride, except to make a funny and if necessary insulting-but-conversation-ending comment.

What I do has no effect on drivers except to make their asses pucker for a half-second, and since they don't have the balls to do it, what are they going to say?

That lunatic in Brazil must have a deathwish. I could barely watch some of his lane-splitting.

Sure hope he doesnt take anyone with him when he runs out of lives.

the brazillian video, my friend summarized what hes saying

He's teaching others how to drive a motorcycle in the streets of, I'm guessing, Sao Paulo. He talks about how you watch ahead and watch the tires of cars, what size motorcycle one should start on, wet streets, the kinds of stupid things people do on the street, and how little they really pay attention to what they're doing. On occasion he's said DON'T do what I'm doing because it's wrong. He only does it because he knows exactly what he's doing. He seems a bit crazy, but it's not uncommon on the streets down here, though I've never seen them in Sao Paulo. I'm not sure if he's driving a 250, the motor sounds too nice for a 250. Also towards the end he started speaking a bit fast and I lost track of what he was saying a couple of times.

so hes been doing this for 20 years :wow

anyone have a guess what bike hes riding?
