Lane splitting with hazard flashers.

Are these for guys who have doubts on their riding skills and need to warn the public to give them wide berth?

After all, that's what hazard lights are for..to warn motorists of a dangerous condition.

Well if you need to split with hazard lights flashing, you are a hazard.

Friend of mine does that. Adds to visibility I suppose.
Is it any worse than the big adventure bikes with a million bright lights on them?

Whatever makes you feel good man, and as long as you ain't fucking up other people's nice time, and as longs as you GTFO the way when someone rolls up on your 6.

I used to do this. It worked quite well. Don't really need to split anymore as I don't commute.

The only other moving vehicles I see using flashers are trucks and cars that are going slower than the flow of traffic.

I don't get who they are trying to alert with the flashers since they are likely moving faster than the surrounding cages. Perception of safety is a strange thing with some people.

I've never seen a snail's pace splitter user their flashers. Those are the guys that should be doing it.

I turn my high beam on and off splitting in lots of traffic. I specifically do it because I doubt my riding, as you said. Not because I want to be seen by people who may not otherwise be paying attention.......

NO, they are DUMB cos CityBike said so!

In France, legislation is the same about splitting lane. It's tolerated. Law enforcment requires you to use hazard light though. It appears to had visibility.

stupid & against the law.

I still like my Kisan headlight "modulator."

Seems to wake up everyone ahead while splitting...

^^This. Headlight modulators are legal and work very well.

Using your four-way flashers are illegal, per the CVC and has been addressed more than a few times in the LEO forum.

Folks should be familiar with the Search function.... :loco

Never occurred to me to use hazards while splitting.

Then again, my bike doesn't have hazard flashers.
