*Liam's Wild Ride*

Congrats Man! Way to step it up, here's to a spankin new season, and a spakin new bike!

Heartiest congratulations, Liam. You've obviously worked very hard to get to where you are and your employers have noted your dedication. Hope 2007 turns out to be an even better year for you and the team. Well done.

congrats on the continuation Liam!!

hey i have a question only an insider like you might know.
i read on motogp.com that eckl was actually working with the competition as well as kawasaki. do you happen to know who that competition team might be?
thanks in advance, and keep up the good work.

Ilmor. Long before the first prototype hit the track for testing, it was spotted in the Kawasaki raceshop in Germany earlier this year.

That's great news Liam, good for you, well good for all of us really.

Hope you had a good birthday :Port

Congratulations! Good to see that the team is sticking with you. They're obviously happy with your work so far. Must feel nice to be building that kind of relationship with the team, from the guys in the pits all the way up to the top. Way to go! :applause

Thanks Everyone!

It's been a fantastic week! I saw the latest James Bond movie, had some good food, spent time with my old friend, Nacho, and rocked out at a Delorean concert!

Sorry I haven't posted much lately, but my thumb is still quite swollen from my BMX crash a couple weeks ago, and I've been trying to use it as little as possible. I haven't stopped riding, however, and last week I managed to ride all the way across town, and then up into the mountains because I got lost and just aimed "UP". That. . . . . was a long night. To top it off, the elevator has been busted in my building for five or six days now, meaning I'm carrying my bike up six flights of stairs everytime I come and go.

Speaking of apartments, I may have just moved in October, but the winds of change are upon me once again, and as a special birthday present to myself, I announced that I was giving my one month's notice. 2007 is going to be completely brand new - in so many ways! Members of my team are already travelling to Bologna later this week to begin dissecting the data from the final test of 2006, and also begin working with some new electronics systems, so you can see that the season is in full swing for us. We're putting in the work now so that we'll have as successful a season as possible, and after finishing in front of the Factory Ducati boys at the test, I have nothing but the highest hopes.

Time for some Bond trivia. It's obviously moto-related. Who is this?!?

it's claudine auger, who played the dominetta vitali (in the book) character (changed to dominique derval in the movie) in thunderball. aka domino in both the book and the movie.

the domino character appeared again in the 1983 unofficial film remake never say never again (character renamed domino petachi) and was played by kim basinger.

i got WAY too much spare time to be posting this crap :teeth

Trid741 and JohnC, BINGO! er, I mean, Domino! Such a fun little movie that was, and the other Bond girl, whoa! Here's a photo of her, Luciana Paluzzi. But I digress.
