Was a great event the bikes were beautiful. Took home some loot too :) had a triple digits ride on Metcalf and Quimby on the way home ;)

Thanks Budman and Butch for setting it up

Will post pix up later.

more... the tacos were way yummy. Lightning paid for most of them. Double yummy?
Goood times.

Damn... missed it.
Riding gear was staged before I prepped the bike.
The 950 was all cleaned up, tires aired and fired she right up. Then I noticed a puddle developing under it. Gas. When idling.
Rev it up and it stops. Idle it returns.
I think I have a carb float problem. Time to open it up.

So, I wasn't able to make it.

So...
you, so much, so really need the Strike, an electric motocycle without a carb float.
The event was very cool. Folks got to hang with Richard and other Lightning folks and get nerdy tech questiones answered.
The opportunities we have here in the center of the universe are amazing.

It was pretty hot that day. Nice to ride an electric bike on a hot day it didn't try to bake me like an ICE bike. Wound up riding Metcalf and Mt. Hamilton on the way home boy was I tired and dehydrated by the time I got back. The bike however seems to run better in this heat.

Good stuff Merlin.

Congrats on being the slowest!!
The head to head competition after the qualifying round meant that L8Braker got the pass straight to the final based on his quali time.

The faster riders had to do head to head combat to work their way towards the final. I kind of liked that format. :party

What. Is. This.
???

That is a Zero motorcycle

I really enjoyed riding the Boosted skateboards and scooter. It's great to see how far electric mobility technology has progressed in the years. I built my own electric bicycle like 5 years ago and I have an old Razor E200 scooter that I use as a pit scooter and the Boosted stuff is like at a whole other level with regen and lithium ion batteries. The scooter was 2wd also!

Let me get this straight: Lightning has three new models, the Strike AND two entry level motos?! Why don't they say anything about this stuff? They have dang near zilch on their website. Or was this event the model reveal?
