...if there is anything.

Not to discourage track riding at all. In fact along with loving the ever loving hell out of commute, I plan to do a trackdays and be super broke within the year.

How to spot and avoid that jackass reading the newspaper, while on the phone drinking coffee, who's about to unexpectedly swerve into your lane .....Robbie

You learn things you'll only ever need on the road: how to read other traffic (specifically volvos, priui, and H2s), look for escape routes, and manage safe distances in a much less predictable environment. How to manage road debris, potholes, roadkill, puddles.

The best way to clean 400 miles worth of dead bugs off your visor in 5 minutes while in the restroom of a shell station, without scratching the plastic.

Eh, some of the tracks I've been to you still have to manage potholes :p

At least exceptionally bad surfaces for a "race track."

[shameless plug]Anyone looking for a great deal on a track bike? I got a pretty pimped out '01 R6 race bike that needs a carb cleaning... it's super set up, though. Ohlins, scotts, fork revalve, spare rims w/rains, tire warmers, a whole bunch more... only $3k for all of it[/shameless plug]

How to follow police instructions off of the road so that they can safely administer a sobriety check! LOL

The "some stuff" list is too long, and.... really can't be something learned from a printed word.

What has to be learned, to cope with the complexitiy of the public road, is best learned in safer area's like the track and on dirt, every form of racing. Then the mental part is well in place to take on the public road.
