Livermore police motorcycle officer

I'd think they would of had this POS behind bars by now.
Corporal punishment needs to return.
These blatant attempts on LEO'S must stop.
The revolving doors of justice isn't working

Hope he gets caught ASAP. 100% the perp has a long history of offenses. I hope a judge throws the book at the bugger, and he actually stays in jail.

If and when they grab this guy I suspect he won't need to make any plans for the next few years. District Attorneys tend to frown on officers getting assaulted with potentially lethal force. They're kinda funny that way.

I'm amazed that the driver was not shot. He must have gotten away before the officer was able to pull his pistol. Attempting to run over an Officer is attempted murder.

At most the offender will get a citation and then released. There will be no real penalty, which is why runners are the norm these days (it has a 95% success rate...yes a its a made up number) The days of being held accountable are behind us...hopefully temporarily, but they are currently long gone. Anyone that is currently remaining as a LEO has my complete respect.

This is nowhere near the realm of a citation. The officer was injured. That means he was still on the bike when the suspect reversed and rammed him. Had he not jumped off, he might have been killed. At minimum, it's felony assault with a deadly weapon. He will likely be charged with attempted murder of a peace officer.

Who took the picture in the OP?

I thought the same thing and am figuring it is probably a capture off the officer's helmet cam.

Probably a still shot pulled from the officer's body camera footage.
