Looking at a 1998 Ducati ST2 tomorrow, what should I know?

I'm still grinning ear to ear from the ride home, looking for an excuse to run an errand later.

Except he isnt touring the country, he's doing some commuting.

Barf never ceases to amaze lol

Viffer still would have been a solid choice for commuting ;) Sensible daily rider sportbike, if you will.

Anyway, the R1100 will also be a great bike for the OP. Well done.

I would stay away from the 98 ST2. Mine broke down several times on trips and left me stranded. Electrical issues, lines in gas tank failures, clutch cylinder failures. Fun bike to ride but not very reliable.

I could have just linked the pics I posted in the Pictures forum or the "post a pic of something you just purchased" thread in the KS, but what fun would that be? Here are the pics. :teeth

Nice choice.

I was going to agree with Motec that if you're going to go Italia go big, ST4.

But that Beemer is sweet :thumbup

Definite win! Congrts! I guess you need some panniers now?
:ride

Very nice! :thumbup I like the black valve covers too.
