Looking for a trailer - Is HF a good option?

I forgot to mention one thing that sucks about these trailers is the fenders. The big and bulking and vibrate a lot. The brackets break and eventually the frame cracked on mine. I did but a bunch of brackets from HF over the phone. But I finally installed some plastic fenders on mine, you cane see it in the picture. I would definitely upgrade the fenders.

I added bearing buddies also. Makes it easy to grease the bearings.

I also have a hydrotek marine grade trailer deck. Been on for a few years so far and it hasn't rotted. Expensive but lasts.

I had a folding 4x8 for a few years. Ply on the deck and painted it. Worked ok.

Moved across the country and bought a slightly larger trailer from Tractor Supply with a folding gate, larger wheels, and so on. Honestly, it’s a lot less of a PITA to work with. The folding feature on the HF was nice if space was tight but it’s sort of a bear to fold up with all that weight on the deck. It worked ok but I do like the new trailer a lot more.

here's the photo i was thinking of. i'll note that the parking job was just for loading...overnight, it was unhitched and locked to the fence on the other side from this, truck in the spot next to it, and bikes tucked behind both.

Nice thick deck on that one.

Just ordered plastic fenders for $40 delivered. Link above. I keep hearing the same thing. I’m going to work on my trailer next week and will post another pic when I’m done. I loaded up my bike the other day. Only need one ramp. I stepped on the back without any issues.

Thanks to everyone who responded to this post. It appears unequivocal that the HF option is a good one although you do get what you pay for. PMed a couple of you to follow up on second hand options. If those fall through, will likely just bite the bullet and go with a new HF.

It was stated in the original post but worth perhaps noting, I am looking to use the trailer as a general purpose hauler and not just a dedicated moto trailer.
