Mah mistress is back! (Aprilia out of the shop) (And now back in)

Oh and I wanted to start punching people as I pushed it through bayview and heard over and over "Nice bike man"

NICE BIKE?!? I'M PUSHING THE FUCKING THING!!!

I feel ya, man. I had my Duc almost a year before it left me on the side of the road.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

You know what doesn't break down? The fucking mutard.

The bike that has tasted the steely flesh of 3 cars, the bike that ate the exhaust cams, and still made it home, the bike that weeps oil like a robot widow at a funeral, the bike that smokes on cold days until it is warmed up.

THE BIKE THAT KNOWS I LOVE IT MOST!

:x

Oh snap! Do you have that black vtwin supermoto Aprilia? Black leather jacket?
If my fancy shit leaves me stranded more than once with some electrical shit i cant figure out in 8 minutes I'm burning and buying and buying a good bike with the insurance.

They aren't impervious to breakdowns, mine threw the spark plug on Stage Rd. of all places. None of my Euro bikes have ever left me stranded.

Say what? Did you buy this thing new? You know those Italians can't solder very well because the factory lights keep going out while they're trying to work. That's-a when the lovemaking happens!

This reminds me of the month or so I spent chasing electrical problems on the ZX6, replacing both the stator and R/R twice before finding that the real issue was a slightly fucked-out 29-cent plastic connector from the stator. Then I said a bad word.

Would have been a week, but they saw your LP.

Enjoy it. :Port

Heh, can't enjoy it when it is broken down again (I bumped the thread).

It really pisses me off, because how can I trust this bike now? I'm just damned lucky it didn't shit the bed on the bay bridge in rush hour traffic, I would have been run over about 10 times before people stopped.

I got this bike to be my highway bike, since I don't want to subject the mutard to that. How can I even use it for that, when I can't be sure it won't break down in the middle of nowhere and leave me fucked two ways to sunday?

This is why I'm pissed off, the initial problem was apparently a short, and was fixed. If this is the same thing, what are my options? steel-braid every goddamned wire on the bike?

I wouldn't even feel right selling the damned thing, because some other poor slob is going to be breaking down every month and throwing money at it.

I had A LOT of time to think, pushing this italian bitch 1 mile to my house, and frankly got more pissed off every minute.

Where the fuck has quality control gone these days?

You should probably step up to quality...step up to performance...step up to Ducati.

And you should keep the plate when you do.

What a bitch, sorry to hear. The money we shell out for something different and unique, inexcusably seems to break more often. My Duc locked me out a few times with the theft system kicking in. Always seem to be at a gas station. Love the Guzzi's, Apes, Ducs.. but damn, guess one needs to buy boring asian to have something reliable

Talk to Moike about lemon bikes, Dave. The law is very cut-and-dry, and it'll be good to know the threshold when you get there (you haven't yet). Barring that, sell it. Get one of them V4 Tuonos everyone's talking about. ;)

Does that apply to used bikes resold through a dealer?

Also, Tuono == Aprilia == Dave pushing a bike.

Oh whoops, no. For some reason I thought you'd bought it new. Lemon laws don't apply in this case.

I'll give you $800 for it. :D

We shall negotiate.

You have to keep the "property of vampires mc" sticker though, but epoxy it to your ass.
