Hey all, just picked up a track ready sv650. Hopefully by next year I'll be quick enough to start racing with afm lol. The bike came with a brand new brembo front master cylinder. I plan on starting out in production. Do I need to switch back to the stock MC? If so, I guess I should switch it so I'm used to riding with the stock one?

I'd recommend leaving the brembo on and running 700 twins and FIV. Chances are, there are other things done to the bike and the SV really benefits from non-prod improvements.

Thanks for the replies! The version of the rulebook I had didn't make it very clear, and conflicted with some posts I on the forums. I didn't know if something had changed.

To further complicate, there are two different SV650 MC's. Be sure you use the right one, :laughing

When I had questions about my setup (first year guy here), I just reached out to Terry and got some quick answers.

If the rules state you can change it from stock, then you can. If the rules don't state you can change it, then you must run what came stock for that year.
