Sorta like snowboarders

Lol I board all white...that way no one can find me in the snow :x

For gear I say whatever is fits and whatever is on sale :teeth...everyone looks good going fast, doesn't matter how well your gear matches.

Riding is not a fashion show. It's TOUGH unless you wear 80's colors. Fuchsia, purple, turquoise or any combination thereof.

hahaha...

i rode my hybrid on a mountain bike trail wearing a shirt, cargo pants, and sandals (with socks) , and none of the other bicyclists would acknowledge me....

fun times....:cool

Haha you ARE the squid of the dirt trails.

:rofl

people on the barf always complain about bicyclists...

i realized it's fun being 'that guy' that other bicyclists complain about...

fun times...!!1

My view on gear is the same as driving an ugly car- if it's functional and it works, you only have to look at it from the inside out. If the rest of the world thinks it's an eyesore, then it's their problem- they're the poor saps that have to look at it, not me, bishes!

Srsly, worry less about how you look, and focus more on what you do.

Like this? you clearly didn't look at my pictures... (there's a reason my caption talks about riding naked)

Some cyclists are tools, most are pretty cool. I honestly never cared what I was wearing, but it's nice to look pro once in a while.
I once rode my buddies cbr 600 around in a hot pink flowery long sleeve skin suit, I couldn't figure out why everyone was looking at me till I realized I still had it on.

Thanks for the feedback, I've always been a function over fashion guy, just wanted to see what the feedback was.

If it fits well and saves your ass when needed it is good gear.

Most pants are available in black or shades of black and grey. EVERYTHING will match your black leather riding pants even if you decide to pick a pink jacket.

Socks negate nekkidness.

And really... Argyles? What is this, the 50's? :twofinger

:twofinger
I always wore argyles when I went racing (or other odd socks) I even had a pair of knee high pink and gray ones.
Unfortunately everyone just had to look at my socks and they knew who's wheel to draft.

But yeah, got a whole lotta nekkid pictures... so don't tempt me to put them up :p

Well, there are rules. If you are wearing a full Suzuki suit, you shouldn't be riding a Kawasaki, unless you are still in contract negotiations for next years ride, then it's OK.

Hi-Viz and pink go with everything.

I think the prize goes to the oldest, most mileage but still serviceworthy kit. Like some old dude with 15 year old daytonas and a grey 'stich that used to be black, riding something shiny and italian or old and japanese, faster than you. That guy is awesome.

Save up your pennies and buy a custom tailor leather suit designed to your tastes and body geometry.

How else are you supposed to pose at *$ :twofinger
I think you need matching leather tassels hanging off the handlebar. Can you wait until Chanukah or Christmas? I want to special-order them for you. I want to make sure the cowhide offers a good level of breathability while ensuring elevated resistance to abrasion, not to mention all top CE standards, and a particular wax and silicone treatment will give exceptional softness to the tassels. And if you let me, I paint the tyres too. It'll look really pretty.

:)

wow, i always thought those people in the spandex were generally douchy. thanks for the confirmation. who gives a shit what you're wearing?

How about you fix your bike then we'll talk :twofinger

I like the idea of someone in a Ducati outfit riding a small scooter.
