Max Hardcore faces 5 years in jail for his prono movies

what i think his conviction really boils down to is that he was in violation of the basic community standards of the area in Florida where he was put on trial. at least that was what i heard.
 
"community standards" line doesn't jive with the other more recent case I linked (quoted near the top of this page)-- that producer faces 20 years in jail for shit fetish videos made in LA and he is on trial in LA

no i realize that. i was only commenting on the case in Florida...I agree this sets a dangerous precedent which apparently has already started with the ripple effect.

I've seen his work and am not a fan of it. He likes girls in schoolgirl oufits. Basically rapes them till they cry and then pee's all over them. Its like one level below a snuff flick. I kinda figured he had it coming. Stupid assed cowboy hat wearing speculum tossing mofo.

They have also gone after people like the guy that did that showtime series, Seemore butts, for his videos. His stuff is nowhere near as fucked up as Max Hardcore.

The community standards craplaw doesn't jive with me. Florida is also the state that went after the Girls Gone Wild guy on some trumped up charges.

IMHO, anyone who is on an obscenity task force should be jailed and sentenced to be publicly executed by the local constable.
 
I was ''lucky'' enough to meet Max, and one of his co-stars, one night, he came into the club I worked at on Cannery Row, even gave me his business card. I'll have to scan it.

Since I had never heard of him I had to check out his website. I really think the guy has issues with women, but those issues are not nearly big as the issues the women have. Not really to my taste, but they are all adults.
 
I dont see him going to jail once his appeal is heard.
 
i really don't care about what people look at on their own computers, or for the most part do as long as it does not involve me, especially by sight or sound, but if it means a zillion fewer porn sites on the internet that clog the search engines and my innocent kittens can get exposed to by accident, that is fine and i care not. maybe it will inspire a future series of gay prison fuckfest films. for the most part, as a majority we prefer that sex be kept private behind the doors of one's hotel or house; do you want to watch your overweight hairy neighbor get it on with the barely 18 girl down the street. if he had that high of a profile, doubtful he was keeping it behind the doors. just another greedy scumbag.

I've seen some of his clips, and they literally make me sick to my stomach. I think Max Hardcore is a sick, perverse individual that needs serious psychiatric help. If I met him, I would definitely not want to shake his hand, it might make me vomit just to be in the same room as he is.

That being said, for whatever fucked up reason the girls in the videos are consenting to what's happening. I'm really sad for them, but if they want to get treated that brutally for money and people want to watch videos of that, then it should be up to them.

I think any obscenity prosecution should require notice to at least give the producer of the material the option not to conduct commerce in that particular community. As it is the law places all the risk of a poorly defined standard and finicky prosecutors on creators of material, and that doesn't seem right.

maybe the government SHOULD just ban porn altogether. while they're at it let's completely ban guns, and bring back alcohol prohibition. then organized crime will become so powerful the government won't even matter anymore, and it will be just like everything is legal. sure our streets will be run by gangs, but at least the gangs won't tell us what we can do with our own bodies.

Agreed. His stuff is definitely "hardcore" and hard to watch, but trying to regulate morality is outside the scope of government.

What exactly is the "community standard" for decency? As you point out, these actors are consenting adults. I dislike when the government uses roundabout ways to "legislate" morality.

Kind of a nonsensical post if I may say so. Porn sites don't "clog" search engines. And, the whole point is the slippery slope thing. Max Hardcore may make some disgusting films, but it's not the government's job to decide what is good or not for society.

Who cares if Max is "greedy?" We are talking about legality and the role of government.
