McDonald's: Old people GTFO!

Perhaps if they actually ordered a meal... a full meal... they they would be more
welcome there. I'm with Mc'Ds on this one. A 1.09 cent cup of coffee, and they sit there for hours!! That's horrible business and pushes away other customers. And then they ask for fukin refund because they can't find a seat, because other friends of theirs are sitting there!!

They're just being abnouctious and loitering, if they were teenagers doing that, the police would be on em to get the hell out and leave!

Except that these entitled old farts aren't hurting the big bad evil corporation (except indirectly by the PR blowback). The location is almost certainly a franchise. Many franchisees are small business owners.
 
Don't really care, it's their business, if they don't want to tie up a booth for four people to spend $2.50 and sit there for an hour, I don't blame them.

That said, I wouldn't ever go back if I was the one they asked to leave and I'd get my friends to not go there too.... but I understand it.

You see this shit at like Denny's all the time. Ten 80 year olds playing Rummicub for 2 hours, drinking 3 cups of coffee and spending $2.50. Meanwhile paying customers are forced to wait, or sit at the shitty "bar" to eat without waiting.
 
change out the restaurant interior to standing height tables with no seating ... problem solved!
 
All they have to do is install a sound system and blare either Chinese or Japanese music all day. That'll clear out the Koreans.

I guess there isn't a donut shop around. Typically, people hang at those. It's a great American tradition, even if these are immigrants.

I hope they work it out.

I don't know, when I go to the local Starbux I usually don't expect to find a seat because the grad students from MIIS (Monterey Inst of International Studies) and Defense Language Institute students usually overrun the place and camp out because of the free wi-fi, they don't spend much more than these old people....

Doesn't really seem that obnoxious to me, seems like the nature of the business. :dunno

I count 3 or 4 comfy chairs at the local Starbux I go to, the rest are benches or wood/metal.

So what's the point of McD's changing their operations to the McCafe theme to go meet the competition threat from Starbux & Dunkin Donuts?

Besides, I don't think I've ever been in a fast food restaurant so crowded that I couldn't find a seat, except for maybe In n Out in Gilroy, on a Sunday during the summer.

*$x fosters this lay-about kinda shit, so they should (and I think do) expect it (to a point). I have, however been to ones who insist that you actually buy something from them and not loiter longer than X amount of time.



People forget that it's probably some dude (who may be pretty wealththy, but still, not some faceless corporation) who owns the franchise in question. Yeah, McD's is McD's, but it's probably also affecting some private person's livlihood (not a lot, but probably to a point).

It ain't a fuckin' club. Besides, who the hell wants to hang around a damn McD's all fuckin' day long? Greasy, dirty, loud, ghetto, etc.

Maybe they should stage a shooting or some shit. :D

I don't think they changed the décor so that a group of ten to twenty people could sit there all day, everyday, from sun up till sundown.
I don't work for McDonalds, so I may be wrong.
 
I have a solution; Perhaps McDonalds should start serving extremely low quality fude that tastes like crap, periodically toss in a rat - instead of the high quality beef 'product' and overheat the coffee so that it causes 3rd degree burns if you spill it on your lap and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Oh, NEVERMIND.
