There has been a recent cluster of spammers accessing BARFer accounts and posting spam. To safeguard your account, please consider changing your password. It would be even better to take the additional step of enabling 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) on your BARF account. Read more here.
If it's the XR650L listed in your profile, there's a guy named Steve near Golden Gate Park that is one of the country's experts on that bike. He rebuilds two or three engines a week normally. He goes by mcma111 on AdvRider and Thumpertalk and has a long ongoing thread about rebuilding the engines on AdvRider.
Depending on what you need done, he might be the one to go to. I can get you contact information.
Adam at City Cycle Werkes is a good option as well. His turn around is fast and his work is good. Sometimes his pricing can be a little bit funky for certain jobs so YMMV.
I've not used their services but some Barfers have had good things to say about the moto mechanic services of Moto Lucia in SF. I believe that the owner is a Barfer too.
Sadly, Lucy is TOO good, and so is often too busy But she's always worth a try, and managed to fit in a 4-hour carb strip/rebuild clean-up with only a couple of days notice
