KTM 950 Adventure at the moment...and one day a Duc 996
I used to be an Alpinestars only guy, but I recently bought a Dainese Santa Monica jacket and love it. I'm still wearing Alpinestars SMX Plus boots and GP Tech gloves. I looked at the Dainese Full Metal and they don't do much for me. Am I committing some sort of fashion sin by wearing both? Who else out there wears more than one brand of stuff?

Chances are you will burn in hell for your blasphemy!

I wouldn't worry.

If you added some ICON pants to the mix, you would've spontaneously combusted!

Don't worry about it... I wear SIDI socks with my Puma boots (shhhhh)!

Wear whatever you find the most comfortable for the level of protection you want. Who cares about fashion?

Most people end up with a hodge podge of stuff. It's too expensive to go all nutty buying brand ensembles.

It's also a little weird when someone shows up perfectly matching all their gear to their bike. Think of the kid in 2nd grade whose shirt matched his lunch box.

Yes I don't match at all, I have a red and black motogp jacket, joe rocket overpants or teknic leather pants. Silver teknic gloves, black oxtar boots. black and silver/red shoei helmet.

With my old gear I looked like a hybrid skittle, I had a red bike, blue helmet, white gloves, silver jacket, black boots, and gray pants

i dont really match colors (well i dont try to) but i do however buy a lot of alpinestars stuff.. its just a preference for me though.. and i always hear good stuff about it so i stick with A*...

IMO only their high end gear is good, anything else quality is :thumbdown

i wear Sidi boots, Alpine* jacket, and Victoria's Secret thongs...I mean Hanes

Alpinestar jacket and Technic pants. The A* pants don't even come close to fitting.

For themost part, you find out the best gear matches you body and not your bike or the rest of your brand ensemble.

instead of matching just wear different brands & different colors of everything ensuring not 1 color matches yer bike!
or.... wear all black and have a black bike.
name brands.... the asphalt doesn't give a shit when your sliding & bouncing yer ass all up and down it from a crash/lowside/highside.....etc.
