I've been twice to Laguna for this event and absolutely loved it. That was a few years ago and I believe another group runs it now. The sound/visual of the early 70's Trans Am cars was off the hook. Also listening to an F1 car go around the track was goose bump material. I'm a car nut so...this is my kind of thing..

The Mecum auction is a kick to watch in person. Cool cars and bikes parked on the lawn and folks with money buying toys!
 
I'll be in town starting Wednesday afternoon. I get to inspect a Miura at RM for a client and MAYBE bid on it. I spend most of my time at the track during these weekends but I'll be other places too. I'll skip the Quail and the Concourse though. The Quail is still cool but so expensive. The last time I went to the Concourse a few years ago I saw so many people behaving poorly around beautiful cars I wanted to smack 'em. Not good for my blood pressure or professional impressions.
 
Carmel Valley Rd will be a traffic nightmare on Friday due to the Italian event at Quail and the German show at the CV Village community park...
