Being crossed up is also an old style of riding. Some will never change due to comfort levels. look at any of footage of racing and you will see knee dragging and crossed up can be fast.

I know, i looked up on some old racing footage. True they are crossed and fast.
And i understand everyone has their own riding style. But picture this, going on 40 mph, trying to hang off and crossed up at the same time, try to drag knee. I am sure you would comment something also.
