Motorcyclist crashes into San Rafael Sears

A 20-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle Tuesday and drove it through the south entrance to the Sears store at the Northgate mall in Terra Linda while his 17-year-old his girlfriend was on the back. Both riders, whose names were not available, suffered minor injuries and were transported to Marin General Hospital as a precaution. Both were wearing helmets. The bike ended up about halfway through the glass door amid shattered glass. No one else was injured, although San Rafael fire Capt. Jason Hatfield said a woman and her daughter were almost struck. The pilot of the Yamaha R6 told police he lost control because of his new tires being slick and a loss of traction.

That is the single most epic cold tire story I have ever heard. Wow, crashing through a glass wall at a mall due to cold tires. :thumbup

Sorry guys...I thought they had tire warmers in Sears but I couldn't wheelie through the door, y'know, cuz my rear tire was cold and it just slipped.

Next time I'll do a burn out in Macy's before I try it.
