anyone need really trick GP race frame weights?

Valentino should just show up with one of his old race winning bikes and just slap some Ducati, TIM, riello, Generali, Diesel, AMG, etc stickers on it and call it good.

Thanks, number_6 and JO EBRMC. Informative posts.

Lookin at the r1 and m1, seems bls is right.
He is right, a lot. Just redundant. :teeth
Am I seeing adhesive lead weights? :laughing
Could be. I think when we had the added weight question, I stated that they would put weight near the engine. The bikes are designed around them, so that makes sense to me.
So does Haga. Does this mean soon we'll be saying Rossi deserves it?
Rossi won a few more Championships, than Haga. So ya', give it to him, like a life achievement award at the Oscars. :party

Hayden says gp12 is the best Ducati he's ridden

"The bike is sliding a lot on faster corner exits, costing us valuable time - the 'Kentucky Kid' explained - the understeer isn't my main problem."
With just two weeks remaining before Qatar, Ducati are in a race against time.
"Unfortunately we lost some days with my shoulder injury and bad weather.* Yesterday we tried a few things on the bike, and we figured some stuff out.* I practically squeezed my entire winter test into 3 days."
"I would have liked to be closer to the front, and to have a better pace, but this is still the best Ducati I have ever ridden.* It's the easiest to ride, it gives a lot of feedback, and I'm able to 'feel' what it's doing."
But how does it compere to the competition?
"I didn't ride close to anyone during this test, so I don't know exactly where they are stronger or weaker compared to us. We have a couple of ideas on ways to improve for Qatar, where I hope to be more competitive."

Since when is Rossi not known for being extremely consistent in his pace in practice? I'm rather confused by this one. Anytime I've ever looked at the analysis of a practice or qualifying, he does the same thing as Lorenzo and keeps his fast lap times amazingly similar in pace. Pedrosa is inconsistent as hell in practice and qualifying, but I've never seen Vale that way.

You have to jump through a lot of hoops, and make a lot of assumptions to try to prove Soup wrong. It certainly doesn't seem reasonably tighter to me. :dunno If you applied the same math to Stoner that you do to Jorge, he'd still have an over .6 advantage, no? Looking at the numbers from my perspective, it looks like Dani is a lot closer to Jorge than Jorge is to Stoner.

I've done the same sort of analysis of the riders in the past and Rossi has never been as close to Lorenzo as in this case.

More important though is that the numbers I applied were to both riders and Lorenzo's consistency is a serious advantage. If Lorenzo were to pick up a half a second rather than the .247 I suggested, Stoner would have to pick up nearly a full second a lap to get even close to Lorenzo's race distance time. Basically, though Stoner's times are impressive, Lorenzo doesn't need to fill that whole .6 gap in order to be able to win races.

Of course, as I mentioned, these numbers are hardly reliable but they suggest that Stoner's advantage isn't nearly as insurmountable as Soup suggest

So, just because I was going to look it up for my own curiosity anyway, here are the major current street bikes and their various engine mounts.

Interesting spread of the current bikes... here's my file on the non current RC Honda's for comparison... the 1988 RC30 had short stiff mounts whereas starting with the 1994 RC45 and into the 2000 RC51 the mounts are long and flexible...

The soup skewing number? No...

In Stoner's favor? Definitely not. Dean has a major hard on for him, always skewing everything to make him look like bad. Apparently Stoner gave him some bad looks and was short to him in a few interviews, and now the guy hates him. Hella professional.

I really like Dean in his soupkast interviews though, he lets people speak and is quite insightful on occasion. His articles are just way too heavily pro Rossi and anti everyone else in GP, besides Edwards and Nicky.

Soup literally redeems himself with the kast's guest variety & the often-intriguing content of their detailed discussions

I watched the ZOOG GP review, GOD am I happy the 1000s are back.

dude it going to be anything like zoog. I wont be at all surprised if only three guys win a race this year...

the disparity between the top guys and the rest is higher than its ever been.

I don't expect it to be like ZOOG, just happy the big bikes are back.
