anyone know of any good anime about motorcycles? I know of GTO and Akira but anymore?
 
Shonan Bakusozoku "Bomber bikers of Shonan"

One shot deal sold by Anime Eigo. Box reads as follows:

In japan, the country that inspired the slogan "Born to be Mild". The blood of young men still runs hot. In the old days they would go off into the country and hack each other with swords, but these days, what with school, that just isnt practical.

So some of them do somthing very Un-japanese. They strap on a big bike and roar around anoying people and pound anyone they consider dishonorable.

Now meet Eguchi Yoosule, leader of a high school biker gang AND the school's handicrafts club. Which means he divies his time between fit fights and fancy needle work.

And if you think he's wierd, wait until you meet the rest of his gang.


Anyway, worth the time to watch. Not great animation but pretty funny and had some killer bike scenes.

Check out FLCL. Vespa Woman is da bomb. This series is from the producer of Evangeleon, so it's pretty out there. Good stuff.

Akira though... I've occasionally looked into getting a trenchcoat for my bike riding cos of that...

Robotech/Mospeada Cyclones

My first inspiration to ride was the cyclone from Robotech Gen 3/Mospeada. :blush They weren't that pretty but they turned into battle armor. (When you're 12 that's the coolest shit ever) :p

yeah, mospeada was the shit! part of the reason I got turned on to bikes.
 
does anyone have any more info or links for the Bimota Tesi? I'm pretty interested in learning more about it

Just caught GTO on showtime it was my first time seeing it man thats some funny stuff... But robotech Gen. 3 was the best...

There was a manga by Shigeno that was made into an OVA anime called "Bari Bari Densetsu" in the mid 90's I think.

Never saw it, but the manga is supposedly about a canyon carver who is trying to get to the pros.
