Motorcycle reflective gear

I got some that look almost identical to those from REI. They came on a long strip and you can cut off pieces in sizes that you like.

Pro tip: Your local sign shop should carry retroreflective decals. They usually come in bolts/rolls. Oftentimes you are able to get free usable sized scraps.

That one looks pretty fitted, no?

Hey Sarah,

The vest isn't too baggy. I think I look pretty 'frumpy' when I'm on my bike. When worn over my riding jackets I feel like a marshmallow.... . Most likely can't tell that I'm of the feminine nature. :)

I still like it for it's ample pockets

it is nice to be liberated from the purse, isn't it?

Lol Robin I still remember riding behind you after the cone practice when masameet took us on that ride. The photos showed that your outfit was BRIGHT!

For really good reflective strips, see if you can find SOLAS reflective tape (Save Our Life At Sea). Bounces light from anywhere, which is ideal if you're in the water at night and search & rescue is looking for you. (Yes, works very well on land, too).

Couple of strips on the bottom of my side cases, just in the event the bike is on it's side for one reason or another.

P.S. That's an old one. I got bigger one now in tha same color, with same stickers.:teeth
I have the same Chrome Bag too!^^^

omg it's like Jazzercise in helmet form! I looove it!

The early to mid '90s were some truly sad times in motorcycle styling...this was the Vanilla Ice era after all. :teeth

I remember Fieldsheer had a leather suit that was white but had all these little pink squiggles all over it, like a vanilla ice cream with candy sprinkles over it. The GSXR750 was covered in purple graffiti. The F3 had a putrid logo in neon yellow. But since fashions run in cycles, we'll probably see it again someday hah.

But that guy on the white 848 in completely black (even face shield) gear looked so damn cool....

I got the black one with the yellow stripe to match my helmet...I love it- I look like a bumblebee! :p

I got the Lrg Orange with the Blue accent. Matches my whole Repsol theme. Stuck an A-Style and a Blue Jeans GAS sticker on it. I'm diggin' Roman's reflectors though...

I have a Shoei yellow helmet with a halo. I've also added a couple reflective runner ankle wraps around the bicycle basket that I mounted to the small rack behind the sissy bar. Using a pair with my rain gear to holds the pants bottoms in place. It's been my experience that wearing yellow clothing while bicycling or running seems to give me a little more "breathing room," and fewer surprises for all concerned. Wearing my yellow rain jacket that has reflective piping also keeps me warmer after dark.

I wear mine on the Military Base during the day because you have too. I would never wear it in public during the day, but ALWAYS have it on at night. My bike is metallic orange, so it stands out in the light.
