Motorcyclist Opens Fire on Mill Valley Truck

Max Wade's trial started Friday. From the Marin Independent-Journal:
The San Rafael teen whom Max Wade desired — then allegedly tried to murder — testified Monday that her attacker slowly raised a pistol from his hip and fired directly toward her from about eight feet away.

Eva Dedier said she ducked before the first shot, which struck the metal frame of the truck she was sitting in, then heard a window shatter after the second shot. Authorities said the gunman fired three more times before racing off on his motorcycle.

"My heart was beating way too fast," said Dedier, 19. "I was in shock. I just covered my ears."

Well. Seems that our man Max was just a giant bundle of good decisions, wasn't he?

Pretty much. Unless his family is VERY generous on the outside and buys him so love, his prison career is going to be very unpleasant. If I was his family, I'd be hopin he stayed inside a long time.

I think that's an old story, but still I can just see me riding by on my black Strada. in black gear. getting pulled over and reaching for the shiny keys if front of a stressed out cop...could get ugly.
 
I'd imagine that the recoil would knock the rider off the bike not to mention what adventures like that will do to your insurance rates.

Not sure what kind of pistols you've used to, but I'm pretty sure one could easily fire a few rounds while on a moto.

well im left handed but thnakfully dont own a black helmet! was it a small beretta pistol by any chance?
All i carry when riding is a little toy gun 25 auto.
its just too hard to conceal a 45 under leathers.

Are these trials set up in a way that if the evidence is overwhelming in say, the stolen car charges, he can still be convicted of that and found not guilty of attempted murder? Because it seems that many of the charges are a slam dunk while others would be harder to prove.
