Bands I'd actually be interested in seeing on that lineup: Body Count, Suicidal Tendencies, Municipal Waste, Corrosion of Conformity, Cavalera/Soulfly, Deathklok, Rivers of Nihil. Pretty much all the rest can eat a bowl of dicks :laughing

I'm probably going to go to that Rob Zombie/Marilyn Manson/The Hu show coming up.

Zombie and Manson are both performers notorious of being high out of their gourds and performing live terribly, but perhaps they are old enough to do better. I'm going for The Hu.
 
Tomorrow is Santana and Doobie Bros at Shoreline. Mid pack reserved. Shoreline is huge. We shall see…
 
Shoeline took an hour and a half to creep to our $100 parking and walk thru security to our seats. Not gonna dothat again.

In other news, Lynyrd Skynyrd tickets are on sale for the Mountain Winery. Decent venue decent seats are like $1000. Really good ones are $3K.

Verde Valley has a big following of the Uke's, a marching band of them hangs in Village of Oak Creek.

Saw Melissa Etheridge, Maggie Rose along with several other women at small places on Tuesday. Last night was Sabine McCalla, Dave Watson and the Lonestars along with others. Tonite is Duane Betts, Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs and more. Kinda on a roll this week tho more twangy than usual.

Where is this small place?
 
Americanfest this week happens in Nashville every year. It’s 100+ artists in dozens of venues over a week. The armband gets you in all over all week. There’s an Americana award show at the Ryman mid week this year Molly Tuttle, Brandi Carlisle, Gillian Welch/Dave Rawlings and more won honors. It is a music industry event where one never knows who will show up because so many artists come to watch/play. There are seminars on agents, production, marketing, songwriting etc. Turns out Music City is a happening/hip place in the universe theez daze.
 
My next concert is Allison Russell at the UC Berkley theater. Thinking of buying tickets for Rhiannon Giddens at the Filmore.

Kinda want to go see Smashing Pumpkins in San Jose on Nov 8, but leaving for Hawaii the next day and really ought to spend the evening before cuddling with the cat.

OMG. What a show! That is a guitar, a tenor sax and an alto sax on the stage. He played them very well and he just shredded on the violin. And he sang quite well too though it was mostly instrumental. He played for two hours and wandered around the audience quite a bit. At one point, he handed me the microphone and made me sing to Elfin. The guy was a total virtuoso. Epic experience.

We saw this show at the Toyota Ampitheater. Rode the bike right to the front of the venue and lane split out of there. The Doobies did a best of set so it was a massive sing-a-long. Carlos came out and shredded for 90 minutes. It was a bucket list thing for Katie and she was moved to tears.
 
Going to the free Railroad Square music fest in Santa Rosa on Sunday to see The Sam Chase and the Untraditionals.

I am excited that Ludivico Technique is going to be on the West Coast supporting Combichrist. Anyone ever been to The Cornerstone in Berkley?
