It’s almost ready for my son. He’s stoked to ride it. New sw moto adjustable footpegs, lithium battery, handlebar with riser, windscreen (have adjusters coming as the bar hits the windshield), tires ordered, eBay Chinese knock off exhaust, registered and insured, new tail and the biggest upgrade - new suspension!

Hoping to have it all set up in the next week or two.

eBay Chinese knock off exhaust? Really?

$700 for genuine. Those things are at jewelry levels of markup. It's just a coupla-fkn-tubes. I support the china purchase as a punitive to the moto exhaust rapist scene.

It's a decent looking can, I wouldn't have second guessed it

Bike looks good. He should be stoked! :thumbup

So the pipe is a direct copyright infringement it appears. I don’t even understand how EBay can sell that stuff.

it'll be fun and games until the packing blows out a few hundred miles into its life. :laughing

What are the telltale signs of it being a knock-off?
Well if the manufacturer is not Akropovic and it says that and has a trademarked logo that would be tell tale to me.

That is what I was referring too in this case. Perhaps the Zchinese manufacturer bought the can and fabbed the pipe?? :dunno

New tires put on today. All done - need to change fluids and go ride it

Done.

Dave Moss adjusted suspension.

Dremel to the windshield (aftermarket bars and risers hit it). It’s a hack job but works. New brake fluid. I see coolant in the overflow tank. Changed oil. It got a bath today and is being trailered to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.

Son and I will ride it locally to break in the tires and make sure all is good. It’s a great bike for my son - not too fast.

I’ll replace coolant and thermostat, change spark plugs and check valves soon. It’s at 17,500k miles now.
