Naming your motorcycle

An old F1 was green. The seller had nicknamed it Hulk. That's how we still talk about it, even after 3 years of reselling it.

Hmm... no, naming any inanimate object like a motorcycle or a car seems quite weird. I could never use a name like that with a straight face. I also don't get why people who do give motorcycles or cars names give them female names. Vehicles in general seem much more masculine than feminine to me.

Mine's called "Holy shit, this bike is teh awesome sauce!" :laughing

Mine all go by the same name of Godammit.
"Faster Godammit"
"Turn Godammit"
"Start Godammit"
:rofl

Love the funny replies... :laughing

Never named mine, just numbered them, lol.

no naming here. the thought crossed my mind, but it's insincere on my part.

Never have named any of bikes - or cars. My Land Rover "came with" a name, so I've used it to refer to it by that since the previous owner did, but only occasionally.

I may call my bikes names (such as "the beast") but that's more of a description than a name, and I use it interchangeably with what the bike is ("ZX" or "GSXR" or "the R6" etc).

Heck, I've been known to "un-name" my bikes if someone had previously given it a name....

I just KNOW that you are out in the garage..stroking the bike and in your best Gollum voice..."my preccccioousssssss"...c'mon...admit it..ya know it's true! :rofl

now you will have to say "my preccioussssssessssss" with two in the stable!! :ride

Abigail Louise, my club mates have a Martha and a Whinnie ( he says its as in Mandela, but we all think its more Wonder Years).
Names are important if the bike has character I feel.

A long time ago, a bystander pointed at the Ninja 250 and excitedly shouted 'Ninnatwofiddy!'.
Thereafter she was known as 'The Ninna', until she was tipped over.
After being streetfightered, it's 'The Half-Caff Racer'.
