YES! Ram home the lack of countersteering put him over a guard rail.

Such a simple thing. Guy knew hanging off, but didn't know the first major thing about steering the bike to avoid the crash. He had plenty of time to steer the bike away from the center-divide, but simply didn't steer the bike.

Everyone, if you don't know countersteering, learn it, now. !!!

Let's not go through this again. Still not watching but maybe the rider needed to slow down, look through the turn, lean etc...

The video hes talking about is a group of sportbike riders riding fast on a road similar to hwy17 in Mexico.
Guy up front goes too fast in a right hand corner doesn't lean enough drifts left hits the middle concrete divider flies in the opposite lane where supposedly [not something you can see, fortunately, in the clip] he hits another motorcyclists and kills him.
I watched it by mistake because it showed up on my FB page.
I hate this kind of videos thats why I'm not posting it.

this thread is confusing as hell.
The russian crash video hes talking about was originally linked by mistake by op. You can still see it where I purposely quoted it above.
Then op edited the first post with the correct link from the Mexico crash.
 
Not trying to start a major debate war, but how the heck do you steer without "counter steering" even if you think that you are not? Sure some smart guys will post how and why, but it has been clear to me since the age of 8 and riding bicycles fast. Over a certain speed you have to counter steer period :2cents

I also agree, will never watch death videos. To each his own, not trying to blast you OP.

didnt appear that he even touched it,just an unfortunate lack of experience and judgement on the riders part

Looking closer I notice the "white lines" have what looks like "Botts-Dots" embedded in them?

If that's the case, yeah could have washed the front end on those? What if they were wet from fog/dew?

Shit's 100% target fixation. Really sad that you can have a super powerful bike and nice gear and be totally cool with riding like a hooligan but at soon as you start to blow the line all you do is embrace death.

Rear brake and/or gentle front brake has saved me from that fate multiple times.
