NC30 to NC35

I also installed an Aprilia RS250 shock. It has height adjustment, progressive valving, 40 clicks of compression dampening and 26 clicks of rebound dampening. The stock showa was dying and made the bike understeer.

I almost bought one myself before settling on a NSR. Can you explain the difference between the RVF versus the VFR? I could never figure it out. Also, how's the feeling of the V4?

Tyga performance based out of Japan has alot of parts, but you probably already knew that.

The website is down at the moment so you have to check back later. http://www.motorcyclelane.com It will explain the differences between the NC30 and NC35. The major differences are USD forks, rear 17 inch wheel, and updaged body styling. Here's another website for more info. http://www.v-four.freeserve.co.uk/vfr400.htm

Power delivery on a V4 400 cc bike is good. Then again, you only have 60 hp to play with.

I saw that post on 400greybike. I guess its going to be my next mod. Is it a stock rs250 shock?

Nice bike btw :thumbup

Sweet ride, but if ur gonna pose to the max, where are the fake ram air tubes?

They dont actually go anywhere on the RVF, so why not have em?
I think I will forego the NC35 tank. It will foul the fairing stay. I do however, have a spare in storage.

Yes, stock RS250 shock. Just swap springs, shorten the width of the top eyelet and tri-piece. You'll be golden.

More updates to follow in a month or so...

Did you use the NC35 subframe for the conversion? Are the mids and lowers direct bolt on? How far off was the front fairing stay?

I used the NC35 subframe. Everything is bolt on. No hacking besides a little bending of the NC30 mirror stay to fit. I promised the 400greybike chaps I would do a write up. I'll post it here when I finish.

I sent you a PM. Are you interested in doing this conversion too? Don't go on a buying frenzy just yet. Determine first what you want. Do you want genuine OEM panels or replica fiberglass panels. Do you have a copy of the NC35 parts manual? Use that as a guide.

If you want to go the all original route here are the parts I used:

NC35 Meter bracket.
NC35 Fairing top
NC35 Fairing middle panel (left and right)
NC35 Fairing lower panel (left and right)
NC35 Side panel / Seat tailpiece (left and right)
NC35 headlight
NC35 Fairing screen
NC35 V-piece radiator panel
NC35 Fairing tail light cover cowl
NC35 Passenger seat
NC35 Rider seat
NC35 Subframe
NC35 lockset
