I love the rotating mount feature. Form factor was a real issue when mounting to my helmet. Hopefully this will resolve that.

One thing that's interesting is that it's similar in form factor to the Polaroid Cube, which is 4-5 times cheaper...

TBH, $400 seems like quite a steep price to pay for a scaled down version of the full GoPro....

I've got a regular HERO and am thinking about upgrading but can't bring myself to put something big on my helmet. I think a full size GoPro on there is just asking for a head or neck injury, but it might be feasible to use this low on the side like a sena communicator or something where it is unlikely to strike the pavement.

I really like that it's waterproof on it's own, without worrying about having it in it's case.

I really don't like the integrated battery. That really limits it's usage, IMO. I have 3 batteries for my GoPro so I can use it on an entire long ride, or a full day of dirt biking, or switch the batteries between races so it doesn't die.

Yes, they look similar. But I think you'll find if you compare the specs and features of the Poloroid and GoPro side by side it's really no contest.

This isn't really a 'scaled down version of the full GoPro' full GoPro. It is a full GoPro in it's functionality, it's just smaller in size.

I agree but as we talked about before this is a "second" camera and the price point is stupid high it should be $200-$250 max!!!!

Actually the Cube has Wi-Fi and a smartphone app, just like the GoPro.

Some people do indeed care about the optical quality and video performance of the cameras they buy. Shocking, right?

The CUBE + has 60fps (120fps in 720p) and wifi for $150 (which currently includes a bonus waterproof case). So the go pro is a $250 premium for *likely/possibly* better optics, processing and/or sensors.
