Hi, Danielle, here.

New to BARF, but I've been riding for about 2 years.

Unfortunately, my one of my first posts is going to be about my stolen bike.

Here's the details:

92 Kawasaki Vulcan 500
License plate: 20Y2979

Silver Body
Rattle Can Matte Black Gas Tank
Black Reupholstered Seat
Silver Clutch Handle
Black Brake Handle
Zip Tie Holding my Gear Box to my Speedometer.

Last seen parked in Motorcycle parking on Rose @ Market, across from Zuni Cafe, San Francisco.

Luckily your bike is not very valuable and was likely taken for a joy ride. There's a pretty good chance it ends up in HP/Bay View and you get a call from SFPD. So answer any blocked/unknown or numbers you don't recognize. it could be SFPD telling you to come get your bike before it gets towed. If that happens, you'll be in for a few hundred dollars off the bat.

Sorry to hear. Hopefully it'll turn up abandoned and relatively unscathed.

I shall definitely keep my eyes open and my fingers crossed. :mad thieves suck!

Sorry to hear about your bike. I'll keep an eye out.

I'll keep an eye out over this way. Sorry this happened.

I work not to far from there so I will keep my eyes peeled but I agree with @RightCoastBias this was definitely a joy ride. I actually had this happen to me once and thief brought it back for a quick $20. I would file an online report with SFPD if you have not already so they have your current contact, etc.

Just curious, was there a disc or cable lock on the bike? Those usually stop joy riders.

oh dear, i do believe you have misinterpreted my post. what i mean to say is- if she has a bf, he might have done away with it out of fear for the safety of his main squeeze, or perhaps he is just a scoundrel and needed a quick couple of bucks and sold it to gypsies. either way, it was probably him and op should totally dump his ass.

all kidding aside, if it winds up abandoned in east oak, i'll probably see it, so i'll let you know, white knight. :twofinger

I laughed my arse off upon reading your comment, asthmodeus. Good times, and a proper BARF newbie welcome. :thumbup

It does sound like a joy ride. So, when SFPD finds it abandoned somewhere, they will call you and tell you you have 30 minutes to come get it (assuming it is operable) or they will tow it. :wow

It's in my neck of the woods. Eyes peeled for you.

FYI, a few months ago Bassem's bike was stolen in SOMA, and later found on Beale. Walk around a few blocks.

That sucks.

Do you have a boyfriend?
