Found a K1600GT on Ebay and won the auction. Biggest thing I have bought on Ebay, purchase went smooth with no glitches. Flew to Orange County yesterday to pick up, long slab ride home. Full ride report here.

After getting it home I found the original owner had added over $3000 in extras. Almost to many whistles and bells. :thumbup May have this bike for a long time.

congrats...

how's it compared to the old ST ..?

is that the one with the inline 6 that plays Flight of the Valkyries whenever you pull into the starbucks parking lot?

When 1300cc's just aren't enough! :laughing

Enjoy the gorgeous new ride.

Smoother and I thought the ST was smooth. Also more power:)

Will do as long as you have it on your mp3 or flash memory, it has inputs for both. Or the XM radio, it is still working, I wonder when it will run out?

Cool! Did you get your fortune told by Ms Cleo while you were there?

Hey Bill, coming to BUB event?

Last I talked to Chris he was not sure if Dennis was running the Seven or not this year. I Chris goes I may be at BUB.

Also makes French people instinctively holds thier arms up in surrender posture when they hear one.

+1

Curious to know your MPG results.

Wow! Nice bike. I'm too chicken (or cheap) to do a big Ebay deal like that!

Fantastic...Thinkin a marrage made in Heaven here...

Talked to a guy (lives in Murphys) that had just gotten one....he was beyond giddy...he couldn't believe how effortless it was.

I was actually thinking about one of these for me and the wifey when I get closer to retirement. Sat on one the other day and it just felt huge. Never ridden anything remotely that big and looking through the windshield instead of over it felt really weird. Bike looked and felt amazing though.

" I found the A/C vents on the BMW and the ride got better"

Air Conditioning??

Misnomer. Fairing vents.

In hot conditions, a rider can dramatically alter the airflow by using innovative flip-out vents on either side of the fairing. BMW calls the section below the nose fairing and above the upper side fairings an air channel, and the chrome pieces between them can be manually flipped outward to grab oncoming air and send it at the rider. By redirecting airflow along this key channel, it completely alters the stream of air swirling around a rider and brings cooling relief. Very simple yet extremely effective.
