Decided to build a new work bench. Here are the details

Height is right at about 42". Table top is just under my bent elbow - perfect. MFG is Perfect Plank located in Oroville CA. Dimensions 96x30x1 7/8

Vise is a 5.5" Wilton

Frame I made from 2" steel tubing

Tool cabinet is a 5 drawer equipto. 30" wide, drawers are 27 3/4" deep. Each drawer is good for 400lbs or so. No ball bearings here, all roller bearing. Its a heavy industrial tool cabinet.

Leveling feet bought from JW winco.

The beauty of a work bench like this is it will never break, doesn't move, and your work is at a height where you dont have to be hunched over. The cabinet has TONS of storage. Anyone looking for a new cabinet should consider the options from Lista/Lyon/Equipto before dropping huge coin on a Snapon, matco, mac etc.

That is a fantastic looking setup. So I'm confused, is this your home built setup with some Lista/Lyon/Equipto drawers or is all sourced from one of those companies and then built modularly at home?

So I built the frame around the equipto box. I knew what I wanted my work height to be and also knew the dimension of my tool box. Its also tall enough I can roll my other tool box under it. Lista/Lyon/Equipto/Vidmar all sell completely modular systems including the work tops and the drawer systems are all modular, so if you wanted deep drawers with shallow drawers you can have it. If buying new it can get pricey but its comparable with used prices of a big snap on box.

I had my brother stand in one of the drawers and the drawer slid like butter in and out. He weighs about 150.

I bought the box and the beige cabinet next to it for $520. The beige cabinet next to it is also something most people dont consider. Its full roller bearing and 30inches deep. Holds my extra parts like rear sets, seat cowls, electrical wire, rear shocks etc perfectly.

If anyone wants one, let me know, Id be happy to help with the fab work if you buy the materials.

Nice bench. Used to have one similar in the past when I moved gave it to a coworker. When he came to pick it up he was surprised how heavy it was :) Never weighed it but probably 400 + lbs.

Ya I bought them both on craiglist. I can pm you my sources info. He has more, bigger, smaller, lots of stuff.

Can you post a pic of your custom bike work table? I have a slight view of it, just enough to make me curious...
