NFL 2021

Are the officials only given flags for the last two minutes of the game?

Congratulations to the Rams.

Kupp is amazing.

Congrats Lams. :p

If you don't know who Cliff Branch is you are failing... or just being silly.

Do you know how good Kyle Rote was?

Congratulations to the Rams.

+1

I don't really have any feels about the Rams, but I like to think of this as their great reward for returning to the market they are supposed to be in. Glad to have them back in L.A. where they belong, good for them.

FYI, I suspect this also means the Chargers are fucking doomed and will probably become the first international NFL Team once they figure out a way to get out of the stadium deal with the Rams. :laughing

They're both up there. SoFi kinda feels soulless though because it's LA. It's even worse when the Chargers play cause nobody gives a shit, but the stadium itself is absolutely world class.

Vegas is bonkers though. It's just different.

SoFi is a fucking amazing venue.

I'd never seen it before (I don't watch football), and, yea, it's really extraordinary. They did a really good job.

Did you see early video of the locker rooms? They're HUGE!

Game wasn't bad, but I wasn't really into it. I didn't care for the half time show, but pretty sure I wasn't the target market.

I honestly don't recall the last time I watched the SB.

yea the refs ruined it because narrative but whatever. Nobody actually cares about the Rams or Bengals, it'll be forgotten in 18 hours.

My favorite was the hold by Jalen Ramsey in the first quarter where the announcer was like oh that was good defense and they made a huge deal about the facemask and the end of game where the Bengals did the same thing. So much bias. Rams needed a bailout and the refs where there for them at the end.

Also loved all the bandwagon celebs at the game....

.

It was hard not to feel that way. Story book ending, highly capitalized, major market, brand new stadium etc etc etc.

Thing is, that non-call on the face-mask was pretty annoying and shifted my semi-involved sympathies a bit to the hated Rams. That was a huge non-call.

I hated seeing Beckham go down. No matter how flamboyant or vain he may seem, he brought a lot of excitement to the NFL over the years and I was happy to see him in the SB. But it got even weirder when both QBs got hurt in consecutive possessions.

In the end, I am glad that Stafford, Donald and Beckham got rings. They played hard for years to do so. Burrow may have his day yet.

:hand

You aren't old enough to pull that card and doing the math, I doubt your parents had even hit puberty in the the era he played. :laughing

So please, just... don't.

You are making my point exactly. ;)

It's being reported OBJ tore his ACL...

That is just per his weekly scheduled ACL tear. :laughing

What did the folks here think of the halftime performances?

It was hip-hop based = Did not watch.

Nice, I love it when the ball park reflects the community. One of the things I love best about L.A. when I visit is how shallow it is there.
