My son picked up a 400 a couple of months ago. After riding the thing I knew I had to upgrade the suspension. My son has no plans of going to the track, but it never hurts to have a well setup bike for the street.
Ok so I have a newer gsxr shock that I am going to install. I just happen to have a set of ohlins preload adjuster caps that I will install. The spring rate is correct, but do I need to swap out the oil for a better weight? Do I need to add a spacer? May buy fork cartridge's next year, just incase son lets daddy take it to the track:teeth Any advice/suggestion will be appreciated:thumbup

It is damper rod fork like many others (sv, ex650, R3) and same applies. You can play with oil weight or you can get emulators (race-tech, traxxion ar25) to get it to work better but still cartridge is the way to go if you want good set up.
