NorCal IV Epic Supermoto Pie Ride

man so cool! It sucks that I had just started my new job when this ride took place...one day I would love to make it to one of these. Been riding alot more dirt recently on the DRZ and lovin it!

I need a True Motard so I wont be scared to throw it down in some of that terrain. Damn that looks fun. I miss my DRZ :(

John and i started saturday with a tasty breakfast. John didnt talk much...

Then it was off for some riding.
Some sweet highway 4 followed by some upwardly singletrack. Before too long a KTM started to overheat, blow the oil fill plug sky high and was smokin like crazy.
Any threads left down there? Nope, didnt think so.

Eventually the trail disappeared,
epic9.jpg

so we changed direction for an easier course.

Fantastic views aboud

Good thing we didnt have far to get back to the truck, and parts were plentiful at the local pick and pull...

That just about sums up Saturday...

sunday morning we wake up to a KTM convention

somebody had to drop the kids off at the pool...
epic71.jpg

then we tried to figure out where we were going...
epic72.jpg

Once a course was decided we hauled ass down a nice set of twisties. At about 60 mph someone's rear axle nut came off and just about beaned BRP in the head. No shit.
epic73.jpg

Wonder where it came from.
epic74.jpg

no big deal, who's got some pliers?
epic77.jpg

and off we went towards some real fun stuff.
Enough with this pavement crap...
epic78.jpg

fugepacker convention in the middle of nowhere...
epic81.jpg

epic80.jpg

overheard through the woods... "mmm, you lookin mighty tasty there boy..."
epic87.jpg

i ran away, very far away.

and as suddenly as it started, it was done.

and you havent even seen the video yet...
Here is the river crossing. Suprising how well pilot powers hook up in the dirt.

Here is a small amount of the rockgarden we rode through. The footage is about 1/4 mile of what was 7 miles of off road. And of course i wasnt recording yet when we hit the really gnarly section in the beginning.
