Numberless frame

swingarm sticker? hmm.. nope no swingarm. hard to imagine a VIN on a removable part. You might be thinking of the gear ratios stamped on the rear drive housing. /7s had the tall 32/11 ratio, coupled with around 57 ft.lbs torque and a heavy flywheel=oompa loompa. now if you could just get the thing to spin 9k...smooths out at 3k, right there 4k to 6k, mine pulls to 7.5k redline...lightened conrods, cut the piston skirts, balance everything to a wet red one, 34mm flat sides :shocker if you ever run into Billy Peck, hes probably done it as sane as it can be done. so that leaves:shocker:shocker:shocker

I got it. If someone dings up their frame that is exactly the same, then why cant they just drill out the rivets holding the plate on and re-attach the tag to the straight one? The old one gets scrapped or re-purposed..sort of like george washingtons sledgehammer...the heads been replaced once and the handle three times, but its still george washingtons hammer...

BMW stamped the vin on the frame under the right cylinder for a long time too. Nothing there?

You can! And I have no problem with that at all. The State however, gets in one hellofa snit. :laughing

THREAD JACK :
Back in the 80's, when everyone was trying to get 100HP out of their inline four, air-cooled motors, nobody wanted a 2-cylinder, 60HP, water-cooled lump.
Very hi-tech for their day, hell, even today. Look at any new 500cc road bike and see if they pull 60 hp at the crank.
I had one back in the day and pissed my brother off that I could hang with his Norton on pure acceleration....and REALY pissed him off the lights worked (all the time) and ignition didn't cut out in the rain :rofl
