At least this guy has the balls to tell it like it really is. I have plenty of black friends but they're not bums and thieves or crackheads to be exact. Do I call them a nigger negro or a schwoogie? No because they're not. When some black crackhead is taking a shit in my driveway yes ladies and gentleman he is a fucking SCHWOOGIE. When I use that term am I refering to the black population in general ? Absulutley not..just that individual. Just like when you see a redneck driving in georgia in a k5 blazer swerving on the freeway drunk and you say look at that redneck. Are you calling him a redneck or the white population in general?

And besides all this yes there are white mexican and I think 1 asian bums in my neighborhood. But to boil down to facts and statistics none of this makes me a racist I'm simply observing that there are so many black bums in my neighboorhood wrecking shop all day.

Now obviously this is an uphill battle for me since we've now gotten to the subject of racism. But I'm just explaing the way I see it and why it doesn't make me a racist.

One, I have been to SJ/SJ State. Stayed out late night, all of it, aint that bad. Two, I live in the projects, Westside Projects to be exact. Majority is...yep, you guessed it, BLACK. Being one of the few asians families over here, i can say the majority of the black people here may look a certain way, act a certain way, but they are some pretty well mannered people. I have friends who, are asian (surprise surprise) live in fucking Hunters Point whom i visit over once a week....am i scared? No, Do i cross the street so as to avoid a group of black guys coming my way? No. So shove it and your assumptions about my "ignorance" and kiss my ass.

Then you're really stupid.

The last time I drove through Hunters Point, I was a little scared. Seeing young males loitering on a street corner which has the highest murder rate in the city makes me nervous.

Does it matter that they were black? Well, no, except that Hunters Point is mostly a black neighborhood, so it would be notable if it was another racial group on that corner. Although, white, Asian, or Latino, I would be nervous about any non-blacks who had the balls to hang around Hunters Point.

What is the real issue is using bad words. Yes, schwoogie is an offensive racist term, after you look up what it actually means. Using the word gay outside of describing happy times and/or homosexuals is offensive.

Instead of using schwoogie and gay, he should have wrote scumbag and weak. Your offense is duly noted.
 
Also I would like to add that we as a whole make this racism what it is. I took a lot of anthropology and found out that most white people stand behind the issue of racism now even more than black people. We make it such a big god damn issue in the media that people turned the simple word nigger and negro into this god forbidden word out of a white persons mouth. However I also learned that statistcly black people are more racist than whites. You wanna disagree? Go to new orleans..it all comes down to how people are brought up. Like our friend said. In a town like new orleans where its 70% black and mostly poverish. Blacks grow up hating whites. And guess what in towns where its 70% whites and 30% blacks who hates who again? This whole thing boils down to culture. As a whole most whites are not raised thinking stealing polynogamy dropping out of school or going to jail is okay by any means. However if you visit one of these projects you will find out that their cultures really aren't bothered by this kind of thing. It actually really boils down to ethical standards. And odd enough (I guess) the only blacks I've met that really are not like these stereotypical blacks come from remote suburbs away from oakland. The bronx. Harlem. New orleans. Atlanta. Detroit. Etc..

If one of my black friends sees some ragged looking crackhead white guy and calls him a cracker paper chaser honkey or whatever name then its not going to bother me if I agree with him. Just like the black bums and dude perfect example my friend lamont was down last weekend. We were walking down san pedro and there was a bum ahead of us staring at us. As soon as we passed him he started following us. And sure enough lamont was like why the fuck is this schwoogie following us now. Those terms are used for those low life thief stealing rapist scum con artist crackheads.

So if you can take anything from this understand that there are scum of all races. And being human beings we have different terms for those scums of each and every race. I'm sure racisim would not go away if you devised one word as a whole for all of these instead of using gook spic nigger redneck or whatever but that just will never happen. Racism is an uphill battle and the sooner you all accept that the sooner all of us will live in peace. Which will never happen.

After living in New Orleans, where everyone would use the word nigger like I use the word asshole, I've learned to respect other people's viewpoints, even if they are totally anathema to my own.

I met a lot of racists who were nice to me even though I was not of their race. I realize that talk and actions are two different things.

Some people frown on it more than others. I wouldn't take anything anyone said personally unless it was admin, or a moderator. A quick explanation is fine but you shouldn't have to completely backtrack what you said to make the next person " Politically Correct"

Yeah I'm sure if I hadn't said gay or schwoogie this topic wouldn't have arose. So point taken definitley. My original major was cultural anthro and when the topic of racism cam up it really fascinated me. Our class was extremly diverse equally so it worked out quite well.when we laid those terms on the table and explained why they have a meaning so powerfull as apposed to a verb. It really opened my eyes that we are the ones who make a simple word cause havoc. Maybe I'm a wishfull thinker in that one day those words will mean nothing but an adjective to groups.

Right and I think that is a huge part of the problem we spend so much time trying to be politicaly correct that we make even bigger issues like these racial slurs a problem.

Just like how talking about sex was not politically correc sub the 1960's era. Look at where that ended up.

If we as a whole stop the political correctness of racisim I truly believe that will defeat the majority of issue at hands. Just think in 30 years time when a black guy steals your tv people won't direct the n word at him we will just simply call him a jackass. One reason why I don't like to talk about race is because idiots get all wrapped up in their head that any discussion about race means you're racist.

I'll spell it out for you:

Using a term like Asian driver or schwoogies is racist, but if you get hit by an Asian or a homeless black dude is taking a dump on your driveway, how are you going to argue it?

Trying to explain how all Asians drive bad or all blacks are homeless bums is idiotic.

See the difference? Or are just too closeminded to understand?
