Would be fun to see Rush compose some new long thematic albums again like Hemispheres and 2112. Almost unheard of for any modern bands to put out good thematic music like Yes, Genesis, Who, Floyd, Rush of old.

Damm long hair hippies still know how to belt out some solid rock n roll :thumbup :thumbup

'Headlong Flight' was one of those songs that was a joy to write and record from beginning to end. Alex and I had blast jamming in my home studio one day before the 2nd leg of the Time Machine Tour and I did not revisit that jam until a year later. Alex and I assembled the song to be an instrumental and its original title was 'Take that lampshade off yo head!' but once we saw the lyrics Neil had written for 'Headlong Flight,' I knew that the spirit of the lyrics matched the instrumental perfectly and it was just a matter of making them fit and writing the melodies
I wonder if they were referring to Ewan Dobson.

they sound just like they did 20+years ago

They sound nothing like they did 20+ years ago.

HP Pavilion? Fuck. That is the worst place to see a show. Talk about completely fucking the sound quality.

I sent the link to my BF who is a HUGE Rush fan. So I will definitely be going to the show. :laughing says I need to see them live before they retire.

He also said the same thing about HP pavilion and shitty sound. I suggested we go down to LA for the weekend :p

I dunno Thanksgiving in Vegas sounds like fun! hmmmm ...

Cow Palace was the worst imho. Seen plenty of shows at HP and it all depends on the band's sounds system. Saw Rush there and they sounded great as did Yes and Page & Plant.

I was at that Page and Plant show. I stand behind my previous statment.

The acoustics are horrible. Fucking horrible.

That's my tentative plan! I'll try to gather my brothers.

(One of my brothers likes Rush and The Grateful Dead. How is that even possible? The bands are like matter and anti-matter, oil and water, cats and dogs living together.)

I stood behind the mixing board and it sounded great. I even have that show on cassette. It all depends where in HP you are sitting.

what the fuck is a "cassette"?
