The need for backpressure is a myth based on people not having an understanding of how exhaust systems work.
But it will still be loud and annoying, and still require a rejet.
You sir have no right giving facts based upon YOUR OPINION.
An exhaust system has 3 jobs.
1: To move noxious hot gases, away from the operator, and vent them safely.
2: To suppress noise created by combustion cycle. with a muffler - For "sound emissions" requirements
3: To help the engine complete the cycle effeciently, providing correct pressure and vacuum in the system to give a benefit of scavenging.
And engine NEEDS back pressure via an exhaust system to properly allow exhaust scavenging. Which is essential for performance.
Kid you not, even if MotoGP and all the other riders could get away with running straight pipes, how many do you think would.... none, it hurts performance, majorly.
To the OP:
Don't believe me? Google it man, there are LOTS of dyno graphs proving that proper exhaust setup providing correct "backpressure" in the system shows nothing but gains across the board. Not that I will say much about what I have done, but race built motors included I have blown THOUSANDS on setting up the "proper" exhaust to show the best gains across the board. And I will say for sure NONE of them were anything near "straight pipes".
Also: For those about to go on a bender...... Don't even start on the "yeah well these things run nothing but headers and or dump tubes".... Save it. FORCED INDUCTION, is a whole different subject.
