I don't see why you're having such a difficult time understanding what he said...it was clear what he meant with his first post and he made it crystal clear with his second. He simply stated he thinks it is lame that Marco is no longer on BARF. Nothing more or less than that. That exact same sentiment has been expressed by, what, a dozen other people in this thread?? It's not written in some obscure way so you're coming across as being intentionally obtuse by continuing to question it.

Nothing to do with protecting Droopy. More-so of expecting a certain decorum from a Mod to act mature, in line with Budman's vision of what he wanted BARF to be. But alas, I (like many others) may be expecting too much.

I understand that I don't have the self control to "listen" to the baiting that goes on (of Ills and Droop in this thread) without telling someone to fuck off; The same as I would in person. I'm also, not so wrapped up in myself that I cant handle being told to fuck off.
The direction the moderation has taken, in my opion, has made barf less enjoyable. Also, while I know its been said before...
The TOS are NOT enforced uniformly and that, more then anything, is what keeps me from participating.

Thats the thing. This started innocently enough. It happens all the time. Its not the bickering and/or arguing that does it. Its that if I get into a heated dispute with the "wrong" person, I may get baited, insulted, and called out with impunity, however as I'm the "new" guy when I respond in kind. Bye Bye. It shouldn't be a big deal as I don't post now; its more of the principle. I don't feel free to speak my mind, so I don't.

Plenty of people are able to speak their mind freely in this heated thread. If speaking freely means allowing mindless name-callings to escalate a heated thread to a whole other level, then you may have a point.
It has been brought up countless times that the mods put new members under microscopes, and don't apply the TOS equally to both the new and old. I won't try to convince you that, having been accused of favoritism forever, the long time members actually get less consideration for the comparable incursion into the TOS territory. It is exactly opposite of what you think.
The perception that a new guy may sometime get short changed in a baiting game maybe... A new guy often goes from "just playing" directly to "I'm going to skull-fuck your mother fucking head when I see you at Starbucks next." Yup, for a physical threat, it's a perma ban. Sure, we don't like the practice of hazing new guys. And yes, if you name call in return, you will get suspended for it. If you get suspended once, we feel bad for you. If you get suspended again, again and again for the same thing, the problem is on you.
We are all adults. We have choices to walk away from a thread, when it goes south, at anytime.

Barf used to be a cool place to spend some time. I've had many laughing my ass off moments back in the days when we could speak our minds and not get suspended for it.
Now barf fucking sucks. All the bad motherfuckers have up and left, or hardly bother to post anymore. The reason is we hate censorship, or being talked down to and constantly warned by a bunch of fucking want to be cops with no real authority.
Mods have less real authority than a crossing guard, at least crossing guards are there to keep the stupid kids from getting run over in real life. But mods are only here for one reason, to act like a bunch of kill joys. Yet mods have the fucking balls to act like you are doing us posters a favor. Well you can take that favor, roll it up and shove it up your ass. Choke on a dick to while you are at it.
I have no problems with people calling me an asshole, online or in person. Just like I have no problem telling someone they are being an asshole online or in person, when they are acting like an asshole.
Yet you assholes want to censor me and everyone else. Well guess what, many like myself who used to like barf hate what it has become. So go ahead and suspend me again for speaking the TRUTH. I wish the mods would just tell him to stop being an asshole and us just start having fun again like the old days. But unfortunately, thats against the current kill joy rules. So they will take a vote (like what Horse said was actually important or something) and then suspend him again for speaking his mind.
At least this time he's going out with a "fuck your couch".
Good news is, there are plenty of other places to have fun where we can speak our minds without being constantly watched, warned and shut down. Like at meets in the real world for example.

No shit, and all for it, but Horse has no idea who he's responding to...and he's throwing all the mods together as if there isn't an original (or better, a bunch of original) thoughts among the moderators. The truth is, there's a huge disparity among our personalities that sometimes is great for resolution and other times, an absolute cluster. I've learned alot from fellow mods with total diametric views and attitudes towards a situation. These are good people we've got as mods. Listen, as moderators, we don't always agree, but we do agree that whatever the solution, we'll stand behind it as a team. That's how it works. So, Horse, feel free to call me an asshole if you think you can back that up; I'm fine with it. But you might want some clarity on what my own personal history is on BARF: as someone very like yourself and yet as a mod I've chilled somewhat, but I believe it has more to do with my age and comfort level on BARF.
Seriously man, I hear you. I wish BARF was back to where RobertR1 and I would work to fuck with people and have the most ridiculous comments we could come up with, but somehow that magic is gone and it most likely has very little to do with the rules and more to do with the size/ exposure of BARF. BARF has transitioned from a start up (with the start up mentality) to a bonafide entity in the moto world. For reasons I can't explain, it's changed and it's not because the mods are over zealous in their enforcement and it's not because the members have gotten so hateful (although many have). I think it's just because time has the effect of progress and for some, progress isn't what we'd want it to be.
I'd like to point out that the part of BARF that is never seen is the actual, in world interactions BARFers have with each other. These are almost always positive and well intentioned. If you haven't done those, go to one. If you want to come shoot the shit about the worst of BARF or some of the funniest, nuttiest shit we've seen here (tony-P!), come out to a race on Saturday and we'll shoot the shit after my practices. If all you're looking for is a place to call people cocksuckers, that's a bit of a problem though...cause BARF is just past that, even for me.
