Looking to have a re-paint done on my bike. Most auto body shops are not interested, so looking for a shop that does bikes. Preferably in the North-bay, but would consider east bay or SF as well. Nothing super difficult, metallic or pearl, some decals applied with clear-coats on top. It needs to be quality work though, any recommendations for a bay area MC paint-job?

Thanks

Thanks Maddevill, I'll check them out.

Email to sales@motoglosspaint.com just bounced. Will try the phone #.

Yeah, text him or call him up on his phone. He told me after a BARF pm discussion that it's the best way to get a hold of him.

Is poor communication a thing with painters? I've been having some parts painted by Bobby Keith at Cycle Finish in Menlo Park. He does great work and I'm super happy with how the parts are coming out.... but he can be frustrating to communicate with.

Whitman's and Miracle in San Rafael do good work on cars, but I'd think they'd be interested if the tank/panels were handed to them.

Both Robs motogloss and cycle finish are good. It depends on your location. As I recall rob at cycle finish is a one person team but it's well worth the wait.

Just don't give them beer until the job is finished, at least that's been my experience with most painters. There is a good tutorial on how to do it yourself in the garage section....Highly recommended.

Thanks everybody!
I'll make some calls in the next few days.

Riff Raff Customs

Scott at Riff Raff Customs does outstanding show quality work. He did the paint restore on my Norton which only required a deep candy apple red, some decals and some pin striping covered with clear. No one looks at the bike without commenting on how gorgeous the paint is.

He can do amazing wild and crazy stuff if that is your thing but also does incredible OEM restores.

He is in the East Bay. Look him up on Facebook.

sorry about the bounced emails. I guess GoDaddy had hit the quota for email storage without telling me. I have since cleared out some stuff so nothing should bounce anymore. If it still does just let me know.

I've used Northern California Autobody in San Rafael to fix the fairings on my old EX250R when the tabs broke off. Also used them to paint the GSXR front fendor on my SV. They do use PPG unless you specify you want a cheaper option. Deal with Bill if you call or stop by.
