i tried a search and came up on nothing..

so what i need to be done are my left/right fairings. they are scratched up a bit, so i was thinking that a shop could use bondo or some other type of material to go over the scrapes/scratches, sand it down, then apply the paint over that.

i tried contacting cyclefinish in sf but they're not accepting any appointments because they're booked. are there any good shops in the east/southbay?

and also i only need a few sections of the fairing to be painted; so about 80% on each of them

I work with a shop in Oakland, Capri Body Shop, that might be able to do the work. They recommend you bring the pieces in so they can see it and see if it is repairable.

Talk to them or any other body shop....sometimes the painters can do it on the side.

instead of bringing in the pieces, what if i just rode my bike over, and have them inspect it?

I remember seeing one of Kirk's ads on CL...I emailed him about painting my RT and he said he was too busy to even attempt the job :(. That was back in November.

I guess that would depend on the job, i'm sure if it's something huge like repainting a whole bike, it could take some time.

I called him yesterday, and he came by this morning to paint a mirror for me. It was cheap and fast. I had him come to my work, so there was no downtime or any inconvenience to me.

From what Just J's describing, it sounds like a pretty easy job for him and should not take too long.
