Are those bikes we managed not to destroy?

Yup, the interweb is spotty at best. Luv the pix. Enjoy Hunza! :teeth

Nice... the lady throws down the twofinger from a far.

I predict a slightly lighter lunch box upon his return.

Slightly? Nothing slight about Lunch Box... :laughing

Hmmm A lighter lunch box !! What have we gotten ourselves into ? To BARFistan or not to BARFistan ? A "bento" box cannot be light by definition. :x :teeth

You guys having fun? More pics please ! ;)

Aren't you guys funny? :twofinger

:laughing

We spent the last two nights in Passu, which is one of the most breathtaking places I've ever seen. Yesterday, we went up to the top of the Khyber Pass to the Chinese border. Moin managed to work some magic and talk his way past the guards at the checkpoints. The only downside is that there is a shortage of petrol in the area right now, so we had to drive up instead of riding. Bummer....

I will be putting together a full report when I get home, of course. Here are a few more pics to keep the masses happy.

Don't you mean Khunjerab Pass? Sounds like your ride was warmer & drier than ours. Glad you made it to the top!

Here's an epic picture from Jeanette of the Pasu cones!

Thanks, Rebekah. So...looks like we'll be in Karimabad for at least another day or two. Fuel shortage. It looks like the shortage is being caused by the government in order to limit the number of people who are able to make it to Islamabad for a protest on the 14th. We'll see how things progress, but this has definitely impacted our trip quite a bit. That said, there are certainly worse places to be "stuck"

As evidenced by this pic, nobody is having any fun.

OK, maybe some of us are....

:laughing Love it! Sunny can't even fake a proper frown. Tell him he is a kussy - he'll know what it means ;)

He says he has no idea what you mean by "kussy." Sorry. I do have a couple of pics with him smiling, but it just looks awkward. :laughing

Oh how quickly they forget...tell him to ask Moin for the definition. And look at you with your super fast internet speed! lol

I know, pics of Sunny are the best. He tells you to take a picture, then looks away...and you're like, umm are you going to look at the camera? and he says, no I do not always like to look at the camera. LOL

Since you're up, here's one more pic. I love this place.

Yeah, Sunny is awesome. :laughing

Yes, I'm still awake here in San Leandro...while you're "stuck" in Hunza, you donkey! :twofinger

But serious - I'm really glad you guys are having an awesome time. I was kind of afraid we'd talked it up too much.. but the views are just as stunning from this end, as they were in person; I'm sure the Pakistani people are meeting or exceeding all expectations as well. :ride

This is great stuff!
Iwish I was there.

Pictures from Sam! :teeth

(I'm 99% he inherited my bike!)
